The Oregon
Aero® BLSS® & BLU® Kits
Developed
in 1997 for the U.S. Army Special Operations MICH helmet, Oregon
Aero® patented Ballistic Helmet Pads meet the
original specifications of the MICH helmet and provide superior
shock
absorption and create a pain-free helmet. The pads are
available in the Oregon
Aero® BLSS® Kit
(Ballistic Liner and Suspension System),
which also includes the innovative Oregon
Aero® four-point chin strap/retention system;
or as pads alone, called the BLU® Kit (Ballistic
Liner Upgrade).
The BLSS® Kit
is generally used to upgrade existing helmets and is comprised
of seven highly engineered helmet liner pads and an innovative
four-point chin strap and integrated nape pad/harness system. The BLU® Kit
consists of the seven pads and can be used as OEM equipment, as
an upgrade, or as replacement pads. The BLU® Kit is
installed with the manufacturer's existing chin strap/harness system.

Oregon Aero® Model 45 BLSS® Kit

 The
Model 45 BLSS® Kit is a version of the patented BLSS® Kit
(Ballistic Liner & Suspension System) is designed to upgrade
the ACH, LWH, MICH, RBR and Other Helmets.
The Model 45 BLSS® Kit consists of
the time-proven highly engineered seven helmet liner pads and features
a modified four-point chin strap and integrated nape pad harness
system. The modified harness system design is the key to accommodating
a wider range of helmet models. The seven pads — one round
crown pad, four oval pads and two trapezoid pads — replace
a helmet’s existing webbing system without helmet modifications
in just minutes.
Chin Strap/Harness

The Model
45 BLSS® Kit is most often ordered with standard
3/4" thick oval and
trapezoid pads. If you have an extremely tight-fitting helmet, however,
1/2" thick pads may be appropriate. The crown pad is always 3/4" thick.

The Oregon
Aero® BLSS® Kit
For the PASGT Helmet

 The BLSS® Kit
is pain-free, safer, stable, moisture and waterproof, self-wicking,
positively buoyant and gas and air permeable. It reduces sound
reverberation and is installed without any helmet shell modifications.
The upgrade includes a four-point chin strap/harness (available
in Green, Coyote Brown or Black) with an integrated nape pad and
seven highly engineered pads. The complete upgrade can be
used for the PASGT Helmet and is
installed without any helmet shell modifications.

Get
the benefits of Oregon Aero’sSeven-Pad Upgrade or Replacement
Kit (BLU® Kit) for your PASGT, MICH, ACH,
LWH and Marine CVC Helmet. Includes one round crown pad, four oval
pads and two trapezoid pads (standard pad thickness depends on
helmet type – see listings below). Independent laboratory
tests performed on the custom designed padding system reveal dramatic
improvements in levels of transmitted shock loads. Package consists
of pads, hook-and-loop fasteners (not shown in photo) and instructions
to install the pads within your existing chin strap/harness system.
The pads transform your helmet into one that is pain-free, safer,
stable, quieter, cooler and positively buoyant. Pads are cleaned
by hand washing with mild soap and should be air-dried.
NOTE: The seven-pad BLU® Kit shown above
includes the same seven pads used
in Oregon Aero's BLSS® Kit (Ballistic Liner & Suspension
System). The BLSS® Kit,
however, also includes a four-point chin strap and integrated nape pad system
developed and manufactured by Oregon Aero.
